Giveaway entries

We record your email, entry time and declaration that you follow both pub social accounts. These are used to record and confirm entry, prevent duplicates from the same email and contact selected winners. Selected winners must confirm their social follows. We may also ask winners for information needed to verify eligibility and record the prize award, including their surname and county. The giveaway terms explain how award information can be requested and how to object to its disclosure. Entry does not automatically subscribe you to launch emails.

Launch notifications

If you separately opt in, we record your email, consent wording and time, signup source and subscription status. We send a signup confirmation and one launch announcement. Withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. This affects launch messages, not an existing giveaway entry.

How information is handled

Cloudflare hosts the site and its separate entry/subscriber records. Resend sends emails. Delivery records include message type, recipient, status, timestamps and identifiers to prevent duplicate sending. Messages to our hello address are routed by Cloudflare to our Google/Gmail inbox. Authorised staff use the records to administer the draw and signups. Providers also process technical information needed to deliver and protect their services.

With consent, Google Analytics processes information about visits, devices and interactions. Our form-handling code does not send entered email addresses to Analytics. This launch page does not take payment or accept food orders.

Giveaway entry retention

We delete giveaway entry data four months after the prizes have been awarded. Launch subscriptions are held separately: deleting a giveaway entry does not remove a separately opted-in launch subscription.

Why we use your information

We rely on your consent for optional launch emails and Google Analytics. We use entry and winner information to administer the giveaway under its terms. We have a legitimate interest in preventing duplicate or fraudulent entries, protecting the website, responding to enquiries and keeping evidence that prizes were awarded fairly.

How long we keep other records

We use launch subscriptions to send the requested launch announcement, or until you unsubscribe. After that, we retain only records needed to honour your email preferences, demonstrate consent, resolve delivery problems or deal with a complaint. Winner and prize-fulfilment records are kept while needed to deliver and redeem vouchers and resolve related enquiries. Records needed for an active dispute or a legal obligation are restricted to that purpose and removed when no longer needed.

We review records against these purposes and delete or anonymise information that is no longer required. Deletion is managed by the business; it is not an automatic expiry setting. Separately held provider security logs and backups follow the provider’s retention arrangements.

International processing

Our providers may process information outside the UK. Cloudflare and Resend publish data-processing terms that describe their international transfer safeguards, including contractual protections where applicable. Google describes its international transfer arrangements in its privacy policy. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability and object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
